Little Shop MFG 16" Front Big Brake Kit | 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC K1500 4WD 6-Lug OBS

A 16-inch front big brake upgrade for 1988-1998 Chevy/GMC K1500 4WD 6-lug OBS trucks and SUVs. It uses 6-piston calipers, machined aluminum hats and machined 6061 aluminum brackets that bolt directly to the factory spindle. The kit is designed and machined in-house and uses Wilwood calipers, pads and rotors.

Fitment

• Fits 1988-1998 K1500 4WD 6-lug pickups and the matching 4WD Suburban, Tahoe and Yukon, as stated by the manufacturer (who lists 1988-2000 full-size 4WD trucks and SUVs). Coverage for 1999-2000 is unconfirmed, so ask before ordering for those years.
• Not for 2WD C1500 trucks (see our C1500 kits instead). The manufacturer does not state whether this kit fits the 6-lug 2WD 2500 LD, so ask before ordering for one.
• Designed for spindles with the factory 1.25" rotor width. Non-heavy-duty spindles from 88-91 standard cabs (1.0" rotor) must be swapped to 88-91 extended-cab spindles, or any spindle from 1992-2000. Measure your rotor before ordering.
• Hat offset: the 16" front sits about 0.35" further outboard than stock.

Wheel Size

• Minimum wheel size: 20" (fits inside most 20" wheels).
• Because the hat sits 0.35" further out, test fit any wheel with low offset or a thin-spoke face before driving.

Lead Times

• Caliper choices: MFG calipers in black or red, or a substitute Wilwood caliper in black or red (the substitute option is built to order; allow roughly 2-4 weeks). A custom color is available on MFG calipers only, on complete front-and-rear orders; allow 4-5 weeks, send your OEM paint code in the order notes, and note that tri-coat and Kandy finishes are not offered.
